Depending on the project, we may recommend that you select your own materials (ie: flooring, fixtures, etc.) as style preferences vary and we want to be respectful of your budget as well. Each project varies but our team is flexible to accommodate reasonable project requests and do our best to work within your budget. Our outlook - we aim to provide fair and competitive pricing for the quality service we offer.

That depends on you! Do you have already purchased flooring you want installed, or do you want our team to supply materials? We do not upcharge any materials purchased; you pay what we pay. Our team is flexible in accommodating reasonable requests and will do our best help bring your vision to life.

With this in mind, our team works to set up a plan that best suits your project and budget needs.

Our team recommends/refers red-seal trades to complete all compulsory trades for your project including: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc. You may however, bring in your own red-seal trades if you prefer as long as we can work with them to coordinate the work in order to meet your projects needs.

So how does this work? If our team is hired, we then bring in our trade contacts who would assess the scope of work and provide a separate quote under their own company. You would then decide if you would like to hire them on (or bring in your own trades), work is completed and the trade coordinates payment with you directly. Houlden Homes does not charge or profit from referrals or the work completed; our goal is to help make your project affordable.

Once our team has come out to assess the scope of work in person, a quote outlining the price along with key highlights will be provided; upon hiring, a detailed outline will be emailed along with scheduling information and payment details to finalize our agreement to work together. Once your deposit is sent, terms are agreed upon, your timeslot is then secured and our team starts to coordinate all necessities on our side to help bring your project to life.
